EL CHUPACABRA ASSIGNMENT

Students, the SyFy Channel called and the producers of a new show want you to help them find out once and for all if El Chupacabra is real or myth! They have sent some questions that you need to complete with your assigned partners.

After you have used the internet to answer the questions, it is your job to write up a report, create visuals, and present the findings to the class (Make sure it is creative! It's Sweeps-Week and SyFy wants good ratings!)

Things you need to keep in mind:

**Your research must be done on the internet**

**You must have a typed report to be turned in to the head producer, Sra. Laurel Mergl, seconds before you present your findings to the class**

**Make sure you have listed your resources on the back page. It must be typed so the producers can read the submission.**

**When you turn in your paper work this is how it should look: 1) a typed title page with all students' names from the group on it, 2) The presenation (it does not have to be memorized and it should be written in Spanish), and 3) the reference page**

**MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT PLAGARIZE! If you do, you will receive poor ratings from SyFy, the viewers, and the head producer, who will then cancel your show**

**Every student who worked for the team MUST speak during the presentation**

Once you and your group members have done the research you must FILM a documentary, a newscast, or a SyFy spoof about El Chupacabra. The presentation must last 2 minutes. Those are your only guidelines...be creative! Please bring in a DVD with the presentation on it on December 1st along with your written report. The producers love it when everything is prepared and ready to go on the spot!
